You must understand that your voice is an instrument of flesh and blood, diet is more  important for singers than it is for others. you need to particular attention to your voice and what you put into you body, especially on the day you want to go for a gig or a performance. a bad diet could be causing the production of too much mucous, or could even dry out, causing damage to the tissues inside your larynx. Below is a tested list of food for singers that have been found beneficial or harmful to the voice. well this list has not been clinically tested as a whole, the testimonies form singers concerning these foods are significant. And we need to know that each of us have our uniqueness. For some people they are not affected by anything they eat, others are not.

Good Food For singers:
Herbal teas
Non- citrus fruits
Vegetables
Eggs
Pasta
Lean meats
Water

Not too good food for Singers:
Milk products
Refined sugars
Junk Food Excessive alcohol
caffeine
Artificial sweeteners.
